Challenge

Designing an HVAC system for the new production and the engineering areas.

Solution

Our design was based on a new production area of 16,200 square feet, maintaining a temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit and the engineering office area of 860 square feet designed to maintain a temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit.  

A Closer Look

We installed two (2) 25-ton rooftop units, two (2) 25-ton cooling-only rooftop units and one (1) 2.5-ton rooftop unit as part of the solution.  Each rooftop unit included a roof curb, economizer, and programmable thermostat.  We rigged and set the new equipment, including fabricating and installing supply and return air duct drops for each of the production units.  Gas piping was installed from the existing gas connection and was connected to the new rooftop units.  Each unit was tested, and operation was reviewed with Alumalloy personnel.
